Hello everyone, I'm YoYo Dengkai Wu, a cellist.
I look forward to share the beauty of music with you through my cello.
Wu Dengkai (YOYO) graduated from the Department of Music at National Taipei University and the Institute of Orchestra and Percussion at Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in cello. He ranked first in the 2012 National Joint Entrance Examination for cello and first in the 2016 Institute for Cello. During his studies, he actively participated in various music competitions and won many awards. He also won the first Chamber Music Elite Program Scholarship and received professional training in string quartet, becoming an outstanding performer.
Currently, he focuses on multiple musical styles, including classical, pop and contemporary music, and collaborates with composers of different types, striving to show the diversity and charm of music on various stages. He has served as the deputy principal cellist of a 100-person orchestra in Taiwan, Mainland China and Hong Kong, and toured with the orchestra in many countries in Southeast Asia; he has also served as the principal cellist of the Taipei National University of the Arts Orchestra, demonstrating his outstanding leadership and performance ability.
In addition to his performances in large symphony orchestras, Wu Dengkai has participated in music performances at the Golden Melody, Golden Bell and Golden Horse Awards many times, and has collaborated with many well-known artists such as Jiang Hui, Zhang Huimei, Zhang Qingfang, Xu Ruyun, Guangliang, Peng Jiahui, Tian Fuzhen, etc. His recording works cover more than 100 film soundtracks and pop music albums, and his strength is highly recognized by the industry.
Currently, he is devoted to running his personal YouTube channel "Wu Dengkai YoYo Cello", sharing his performances through the platform, hoping to attract more music-loving listeners to support high-quality music.
