"A Dream" is a pop song written and composed by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Yuan Weiren. The theme of the song is "a sorrowful, infatuated woman," and it was written for Chinese singer Na Ying. The song was inspired by a past relationship Yuan Weiren hadn't seen since their breakup. Recalling their promise to stay together, which now seemed like a dream, he channeled his feelings of sadness and helplessness into the song.
