"Lupinus" is the theme song from the 1989 Taiwanese film of the same name. Set in rural Taiwan in the 1960s, the film depicts the time in 1961, when the lupinus flowers are in full bloom, as art teacher Guo Yuntian arrives to teach in a remote village. Orphaned at a young age, mischievous and mischievous Gu Aming consistently ranks last in his class, yet he possesses a true talent for painting. Despite his impoverished family, Teacher Guo recognizes his talent and diligently cultivates it. This, in turn, leads to ostracism from other teachers. Unable to tolerate the perceived injustice and ridicule, Guo, in anger, assaults a colleague, forcing him to resign from the school.
